About this route

An on-tour loop from Manchester Road, heading out through the higher ground above Elton Reservoir before sweeping back through the valley. The route crests at around 99 metres above the reservoir then drops back to the start — 44 metres of gain across 5.5k, with good underfoot conditions and open views over the water. A scenic introduction to the Elton trails.
