Greenmount and Hawkshaw

An On Tour outing to Greenmount that packs 166 metres of climbing into 8.5 kilometres. From Brandlesholme Road the route works north through the lanes and footpaths above Hawkshaw - Holly Mount Lane, Two Brooks Lane and Hawkshaw Lane - before turning for home down Redisher Lane and Bolton Road. A lovely, undulating loop with the steady climb spread across the first two thirds and a welcome descent to finish.
